The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Junior Championships have taken place recently & we are very proud to report that Year 3 has a Bronze Medal winner! The pupil concerned has achieved amazing things in his chosen sport over the last few years, including attending a world championship event in America and several European competitions.
Members of the school netball team have recently been in action at a ‘high fives’ event at Golborne High School, competing against other local primaries. There was a great effort from everyone involved and we hope to continue developing the netball team in future events.
We are always interested in getting the children involved in different kinds of sports, and this week Year 1&2 were at Golborne High School to have a go at fencing with children from other local schools. Considering they had no previous experience, we were delighted to bring home a first place trophy! Well done.
